Readivu privacy policy
Your documents
Books, PDFs, text files, scanned pages and pasted text are processed on your phone and stored in the app's private storage. They are not uploaded to us or to anyone else. Audio you save is written only where you choose. Deleting a document in the app deletes the text the app kept.
Web articles
When you add a link, your phone downloads that page directly from the website, the same way a browser would. The website sees an ordinary request from your phone. We do not receive the link or the page.
Translation and other languages
Translation happens on your phone. The first time you translate from or into a language, the files needed for that language are downloaded once from Google. Text in languages the app's own voices do not speak is read by the text-to-speech voice installed on your phone, which runs on the phone.
Advertising
Readivu is free and shows ads through Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, the AdMob software in the app collects device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), approximate location derived from your IP address, app interaction and performance data. This is collected by Google, not by us, and handled under Google's privacy policy. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and some US states) the app asks for your consent before any ad is requested, and you can change your choice at any time under Settings, Privacy choices. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings.
What we collect
Nothing. We run no servers for the app, have no accounts, and include no analytics of our own. Crash reports you see in Google Play come from Google Play's own crash reporting.
Backup
If Android backup is on, your library, reading positions and settings are included in your phone's backup to your Google account, as with other apps. Voice files are not backed up.
Children
Readivu is not directed at children under 13.
